Michael Guggen­bich­ler is an Aus­tri­an mul­ti­me­dia artist cur­rent­ly based in Vien­na. He grew up in the moun­tains of Salzburg and stud­ied at FH Salzburg (BA), Mul­ti­me­dia art, FH St. Pöl­ten (MA), Exper­i­men­tal Media Class, and cur­rent­ly at the Uni­ver­sität für Ange­wandte Kun­st Wien (Diplo­ma), Dig­i­tale Kun­st (Ruth Schnell).
Michael’s work explores the inter­sec­tion between art, tech­nol­o­gy, and life. He seeks to alter real life in dig­i­tal medi­ums and ques­tion our exis­tence in the dig­i­tal era. Through his work, he aims to pro­voke thought and inspire con­ver­sa­tion around themes of iden­ti­ty, per­cep­tion, and real­i­ty.
With his work he tries to cre­ate thought-pro­vok­ing pieces that are offer­ing a unique per­spec­tive on the world around us.

What I do?
I explore the inter­sec­tions of art, tech­nol­o­gy, and per­cep­tion.
I work with dig­i­tal media to trans­form and rein­ter­pret real­i­ty.
My prac­tice ques­tions iden­ti­ty, per­cep­tion, and the influ­ence of the dig­i­tal world.
